A beautiful droning composition by the Russian-German composer Alfred Schnittke.
Avant-Garde
Vladan Radovanović – Audiospatial (For Female Choir And Electronic Sounds)
Here’s something you don’t see every day – cheesecake mixed with academic experimental music. I expect this out of Nurse With Wound or Whitehouse, but Serbian composer Vladan Radovanović ends up having his work associated with rather interesting fare from a long-past hi-fi era.
Pēteris Vasks – Vientulais Engelis (Lonely Angel), Meditation for Violin & String Orchestra
Lithuanian composer Pēteris Vasks should be regarded by his countrymen as a national treasure.
Arnaud Rebotini & Christian Zanési – Blixa
I have the sneaking suspicion that this composition by French composers Arnaud Rebotini & Christian Zanési might be named for Einstürzende Neubauten’s frontman Blixa Bargeld, but I can’t say for sure. Still, the piece is dense and pleasant.
